Kept only on your device
Your medical card, saved places, saved phrases, diet settings, trip plans, chat history, menu history, exchange rates and language choice are stored in your browser on this device. We cannot see them. You can delete them at any time with the button below.
Shared with the community
When you post a warning, pick, clinic review, reply or photo, or tap like, confirm or report, it is saved with your account ID and is visible to other users of the app, who see your nickname, avatar, role and country next to it. Do not include personal information in posts.
Your profile
You sign in with your email and a password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash, and your email is used only to sign in and reset your password. Your profile (nickname, avatar, role and optional country) is public to other users. You can edit or delete it at any time from the 👤 button.
Voice recordings
Verified locals can record how a phrase sounds. The recording is shared with all users and linked to the recorder’s account.
Location
Your location is only read when you tap “Add my current location” while posting. It is stored with that post, rounded to roughly 10 metres, and shown as a map link.
AI features
Text and photos you send to AI features are sent to Claude, an AI service by Anthropic, through our account, and processed under Anthropic’s commercial terms. Don’t include personal information you don’t want processed.
Usage statistics
When you open the app while signed in, we count your visits, the days you use it, which sections you open, your app language and whether you use a phone, linked to your account ID. Only the Lumi team sees these numbers. We use them to improve the app.
Sponsored content
The app may show sponsored posts from businesses. They are always labelled “Sponsored”. We count how often each is seen and clicked, but we never share your personal data with advertisers.
What we don’t do
No tracking across other sites or apps, and we never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Community posts stay until you delete them or we remove them. Data on your device stays until you delete it or clear your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete community content linked to you, or withdraw consent, by contacting contact@lumivn.xyz. We handle personal data in line with Vietnam’s personal data protection laws.
Community guidelines
Scam radar, Travellers’ picks and clinic reviews only work if people can trust them. Please follow these rules.
Share what you experienced
Post only things that happened to you. Describe facts – what was said, what was charged, what happened – rather than insults or guesses.
Protect people’s privacy
No phone numbers, emails, home addresses, ID documents or full names of private individuals. Don’t post photos where faces or licence plates of uninvolved people can be seen. Don’t share private health details.
Be fair to businesses
You may name a shop, company or place and describe your experience. Don’t accuse anyone of a crime. Businesses can reply to posts about them.
Not allowed
Hate, harassment or threats; sexual or violent content; advertising or self-promotion, including reviewing your own business; fake reviews; spam; anything illegal under Vietnamese law.
Reporting and moderation
Every post is checked automatically. Tap ⚑ to report a post. A post reported by 3 people is hidden until it is reviewed. Repeated breaking of the rules can lead to removal of your posts and loss of access.
